Custom Form Face Panels

Pan-Faced Panels, better known as acrylic, plastic and plexi-glass faces. These type panels are usually very durable and long lasting. Though are are known to be pulled out of the channel where they rest in by heavy winds. In time they can crack mostly if one has placed a screw in the flange thinking that this will secure it better. This is not the case, the panels tend to flex in the channel they rest in. As it flexes it pulls down against the screw, mainly if it is loose. This will cause a crack to start spreading out. Mostly these are very good products. Another good quality is that they are usually painted from the inside. This helps protect the color from direct sunlight making the image to last as much as 20 years or more. You may save by choice of flat stock or pan-face is available. Just think that pan-faces have to be specially molded. Embossing logo or lettering can help making the panel more rigid in the center. The more rigid the less the center can me pushed in by the wind.

Sizewise I would not do more that 60" x 120" in size. Longer sizes can be made in a split panel configuration. Most manufactures are limited to 11ft in one direction or another. Anything bigger it is recommended to convert to a Flex-Face canvas. Flex-Face can have its limitation on graphics as some come in pre-manufactured colors. Standard color is white, please ask your represntative for further details to make the righ choice. 3M Graphic vinyls are the recommended choice.
